The Metro Colon and Rectal Surgery, P.C. team is made up of highly qualified professionals with years of experience in office management and patient care. We believe a patient’s experience is only as positive as the interactions between each individual and our staff. Barbara – Practice Manager
A registered nurse since 1978, Barbara has spent more than 15 years working with our practice and works in many capacities in our office. Barbara is happy to address your medical and treatment-related questions, as well as provide information about our practice.
LaTisha – Surgical Scheduler/Team Leader
LaTisha is a certified medical assistant, phlebotomist, and a 2008 graduate of the Sanford Brown Institution. We are delighted that she has been a member of our staff since 2009. She is the surgical scheduler for Dr. Bennett and Dr. Makhoul here at Metro Colon and Rectal Surgery, P.C. LaTisha is also the team leader. In this capacity she is responsible for the day to day operations of the office.
Cristal – Front desk/Medical assistant
Cristal works as a medical assistant and is part of our front desk team. She greets patients when they arrive in our Rockville office. Cristal is always willing to step in wherever she is needed so you may find her helping in the exam rooms or scheduling surgery for the doctors. Cristal is a 2014 graduate of Watkins Mill High School. She has 2 ½ years of experience in the medical field.
Valeria – Front desk/Medical assistant
Valeria works as a medical assistant and is also part of our front desk team. She works most often in our Germantown office. She is a 2012 graduate of Northwest High School. Valeria has 5 years of experience in the medical field. While her most recent experience is in Proctology, she has knowledge and experience in Cardiology and Dermatology.
Kyara – Medical assistant
Kyara is a current Nursing student at Montgomery Community College. She has been working in the medical field for one year. Kyara’s primary role is to assist the doctors during patient visits. She incorporates her knowledge from school in the care of our patients. She works most often in the Germantown office.
